Mind-Heart-Body Technique

What do we learn?

A body connection technique that helps reduce excessive mental activation and stress. You’ll learn a simple way to lower mental energy and direct it to your body. It’s the first step to understanding what you need: to feel your body! This technique was designed by Peter Levine, the founder of Somatic Experiencing, to help highly analytical people become more attuned to their bodies and bodily sensations. It’s a simple and quick way to lower excessive activation levels in the nervous system, especially the sympathetic nervous system. It consists of two parts, each lasting approximately one or two minutes, although you can extend the time as needed. You can use it to relax when you get home, either lying down or in a comfortable chair. It’s also very useful for connecting with your inner self before a test, exam, or any situation that requires composure. Use it yourself until you’ve incorporated it into your life, and then demonstrate it and its benefits to students. This practice was implemented in Madrid, Andalusia.
