If you are raising an adolescent, you’re likely to encounter communication difficulties.
Communication with adolescents is one of the main challenges in education at this stage of development. However, if you know how the different communication styles work and what we can facilitate and what we cannot in the communication process, you can greatly improve your communication with young people.
It’s important to understand that direct communication isn’t the most effective way to facilitate the process; nevertheless, other communication models, such as when the adolescent comes to speak (indirect communication) or communication through related interests or hobbies, can be highly facilitative.
And don’t forget the importance of body posture and the power of eye contact.
I hope these tools will be useful in your day-to-day life.
